I am shaken to my core. Can't believe a book actually succeeded in disturbing me that much... And such a short story at that. Horrid and revolting.
Ok Mr. King, you've weirded me out with just a short story. Not weirded me out in a bad way, but who even comes up with something as cynical as this? I am in awe of that creative brain. So, this egotistical surgeon uses his skill sets to survive on this small abandoned island while sniffing his money making drugs away. What's there to say of a man who ate his own legs? Not much, but he's still got his hands, so I guess he can still be a surgeon if he ever gets found.
