The 1st book took about 1 chapter for me to get into. Once I was past that I couldn't put this done until I finished the second book. I loved how Brigitta was a day dreamer when she didn't have to do anything but as soon as she was faced with a crisis she took charge and tried to help everyone.
As for the 3rd book once again I had trouble getting into the 1st chapter but it was great once I understood that it was still about Brigitta only she was now having flashes of Ondelle's past.
Through out these three books you will get to see Brigitta grow from a young inconvenienced older sister to a mature young adult. She'll be called on to solve massive problems and face increasing difficulty balancing her increasing responsibilities with social interactions.
I'd recommend this for anyone who likes adventure and fantasy.
