I appreciate the message, but it’s also a bit too simplistic. Just because you have a positive mindset doesn’t mean you’re going to reach your goals.

So many different types of children are represented in the artwork in this book which makes it powerful. A beautiful message of pushing through any trial. Examples are given of famous individuals that have left their imprints on the world.

I liked this when we read it and found myself quoting the titular idea afterwards in tough situations. An empowering, motivating read for littles.

This is a beautiful book, and I loved that it featured famous and heroic people who were new to me. The overall message seemed good for kids, and the author clearly has infinitely greater expertise than me (with a helpful afterword!) but some parts, like "you were born for a reason - you were birthed with a purpose!" didn't resonate with me - but I am not the target audience!

When you come up against a problem what do you do? You push through.
Look at all the people who have come up against problems in the past. What did they do? They pushed through.
The book encourages children to keep going when struggles are hard, and presents short summaries of those in the past who have pushed to accomplish their goals.
