Honest, emotional and full of love!

What I adored about this book is that Jessica Peterson (a new mum herself) had the guts to give the heroine, Anabel, postpartum depression... a condition that is not discussed enough in society yet alone touched upon in romance novels. Anabel is a new mum (her adorable baby Maisie is 4 months old at the start of the book) and she is struggling with it all... and so when her best friend Beau invites Bel, Maisie and Bel's mum to stay at his resort-style farm stay she says yes! These two have been best friends for almost two decades and have never crossed the line to "more" (despite both wanting to at different points but there never was a time when the stars aligned). Beau has a secret of his own that he is dealing with and the reveal is shocking, sad and honest! For me, Beau's amazing family made this book that much sweeter and I can't wait for all of his younger siblings to get their HEAs!

This isn't an easy read but it is definitely worth it! Bel and Beau deserve a happy ending... the question is: can they have it with one another?

must.read.

honest. real. raw. sensitive. vulnerable. smart. brave. sexy. humorous. emotional. hot.

this love story is all of the above, in droves. Beau and Bel's best-friends to lovers journey is long and winding, from the first time they meet in college they're always there for each other throughout the years, and I absolutely loved when they finally realized they both wanted to take things to the next level. Though they had obstacles to work around and through, they fought through to their HEA.

Highly recommend this love story - you won't regret it!!

This is so much more than just a romance book.....it’s also offers hope to all those new moms struggling with postpartum depression. Such an important topic and a Jessica Petersen is able to weave it beautifully into this friends to lovers book.

It is so refreshing to read about real life postpartum issues! I loved these characters and this story, despite reading the whole thing out of order.

I'm not sure I enjoyed this as much as I hoped.

I think it could have been really good but I didn't love the female MC I found her a little bit of a brat at times and I was surprised by feeling like that.

The first time I read a Jessica Peterson book I loved it. The second book of hers I read, I realized I loved HER - her style, her stories, her characters. Jessica Peterson always writes characters that I could see being friends with. The are real, they have problems, they mess up. In Southern Seducer, PPD is a big element. While I personally did not suffer through this, Jessica's writing made it so that I could still relate to Annabel. I could feel her frustration, her pain and the sense of being overwhelmed. It was an emotional education for me, and one I'm thankful for. Not everyone can put into words, to express to friends and family how PPD affects them. I now feel like we lived a bit of it through Bel, and have a better understanding for what some deal with.

Oh my HEART Anabel! This was an emotional book, this author poured her heart into Bel and it showed! Bel was such a ride for me, bringing me right back to my own days of being a new first time Mom and all the insecurities that go with it. I suffered from PPD with all three of my kids so I felt Bel's pain. And Beau! What an absolute sweetheart! I LOVE second chance romances, and I absolutely love that this author made a heroine who didnt NEED a man to bring a child into the world. So very brave. And I really feel like Beau and Bel were soul mates before they even figured out that they wanted each other 'in that way' they just hadn't figured it out yet. And hot! He was for sure single mother kryptonite I see no way Bel would be able to resist all of that lol. Just a really excellent feel it in your bones kind of romance, can't wait for Samuel!

Jessica Peterson is one of my favorite authors because she delivers such real romance. Real characters, real issues, and real situations. Bel and Beau are authentic and their deep friendship is #goals. The author deals with two serious issues with grace and dignity. And let me just say I am here for this new series focusing on Beau's family! I know it's going to be such a treat
