First, a want to say thank you to the author for giving me the chance to read this in credible book as an arc. I loved this so much and i now need to binge the series from the start!
Hidden Fears is book 5 in the Little Hope
Series which is an amazing small town romance. I couldn’t get enough, i seriously loved this book!

Our mmc Kenneth is the towns sheriff who is alwags trying to do everything right by helping others in the town. And our fmc Josie has not had the best of luck but she is SOOO much more than she shows. their fist meeting was like woahhhhh, but we had such great chemisty!

The bones are good, but everything else fell flat for me. There was a lot and nothing at the same time. The ending really disappointed me and it's another book that is all smut and no plot. The spicy scenes were decent, a little confusing, but not bad.

The beginning was well paced but it was fast paced at the end. If the pacing was better it would’ve been 5 ⭐️

Josie is smart, confident and witty/sassy as hell. I love her. Kenneth is honest, loyal and sweet. Their banter was fun. Frank the moose makes an appearance.

I gave it 3 stars because I felt like there could have been more story development - I wanted to get attached to the characters more. As much as I like a possessive, protective male character I feel like it was slightly overdone and a little annoying but that’s just personal taste.

OMG. I loved Josie and Kenneth's story so much. Josie is a spitfire. She definitely pushed all of Kenneth's buttons. It was very entertaining to see just how much Kenneth was willing to put up with Josie until he called her bluff. Oh, boy she released the lion out of his cage.

Take this moment when Kenneth had enough and was ready to show Josie that he is not aways the "good" guy..."I watch him slowly moving toward me with the grace of a predator."

The "good" sheriff demands a "good" girl to obey him or deal with the "punishment". You could say that the scenes between Kenneth and Josie were some very spicy ones. Which, I am not surprised as Ariana always delivers the spice!

Kenneth is jealous and possessive, and not in the sexy way. The book was okay but I didn't like either of the two main characters very much. It just didn't click for me.

It felt great to head back to Little Hope, Maine again with all its wild animals!

Despite it taking me awhile to warm up to Josie (like 80% of the book ngl), I really enjoyed this story and this relationship. Surprisingly Ken and Joz really worked together, both feeding off each other’s energy in a good way. I did kind of find Josie annoying at times with her antagonistic, wild behaviour but it was also clearly what good boy Kenneth needed to relax and let go.

The spice was excellent as always with this series. Kenneth was a total Zaddy and their scenes together were deliciously smutty!

I also loved all our visits with the wildlife of Maine. Frank is such an epic character and I love his scenes together but the new addition of Bird the Snitch was hilarious too.

I loved the found family aspect of the story. I’m such a sucker for that trope and Ariana really laid into it in this story in particular but it was so nice to see Josie join the family. I loved that she had previous history with Alicia but her friendships with the other women, and even honorary big bro Justin, was precious.

The scene at Alex and Freya’s cabin was a hilarious addition to the plot. I don’t want to give anything away so I won’t say more but Alex losing his mind had me cackling.

Overall, this was a lot sweeter and lighter than previous Little Hope stories. It was funny, sweet, spicy, had no third act breakup scene and was totally enjoyable. I can’t wait to see what comes next!!

The Happily Ever After We’ve Waited For!

Note: this is book 5 in the series, and although it can be read as a standalone, I recommend reading the others first for context and insight into the supporting characters.

The time has finally come for our favorite sheriff to get his happily ever after and I was so excited for this one, it didn’t disappoint!

This installment of the series was a bit different than the others and leaned to the lighter side of things, and I really appreciated that because a heavier theme would have been almost too much for our favorite overworked Sheriff. That being said, our characters do still have their own demons and insecurities.

One of the best parts of this series is that the characters feel real and the issues they face are very real, too. This also means that just because the current and previous MC’s find their person, does not mean that everything in the world is fine and dandy and resolved, which is more true to life.

This story features a sassy no nonsense FMC who has some insane chemistry with our protective alpharole MMC. They were perfectly matched!

Along with our MC’s, the story has some further development for our other favorite characters from the previous books and some great possibilities for future books! Add in another zany critter and this book is impossible not to love!

This story features banter, humor, found family, crazy chemistry and spice. The features emphasize the character development and the world building that still leaves you wanting to visit that little town in Maine.

This one is highly recommended and is an fantastic addition to the series!
