Maybe I’m too stupid for this book or maybe it’s just highly overrated. Either way, it felt like pulling teeth.
Don’t get me wrong, a lot of the stories were well written and gruesome, but not groundbreaking or however people had been describing it as. My biggest problem was the SVU story and it’s never ending blather. I hate that show to begin with and then that story focused on characters I don’t know and then made doppelgängers (so doubled the characters I don’t care about) and went on and on and on and on and on and onnnnnnnnnnnn. I had pretty high hopes for this book and it just didn’t hit the spot
*length of the read is because of the library hold expiring and me thinking I had re-waitlisted, forgetting about the book, being like “oh ya,” and realizing I was in fact not on the holds list 👀 then waiting for the hold once corrected*

This was the weirdest, most thought-provoking, chaotic yet thrilling compilation of short stories I’ve ever read. I felt like each story was unique, confusing and yet unbelievably interesting to follow. I’ve never read anything like this before!
