Story 5*
Narrator Sean Crisden: 3* Charles's voice grew on me but I did not like the voices of the other characters.

The mystery was good, graphic and well paced, although there was a point for me where everything turned on its head and I not only knew who the murderer was but I suspected (correctly) their reason too.
What I didn't quite believe in was the relationship, maybe it was the speed that they progressed at, or possibly because I struggled to connect with Charles.
Well written, with the art galley setting as an integral part of the story not just a backdrop.

This wasn’t the most exciting mystery I’ve read, but it was an interesting look into the art world. I didn’t really like the characters, but that’s probably because the story was too short to really get to know them very well. The whole tone of this book was very pretentious with a side of snobbery, but it worked for the book considering the setting was an art gallery. There were some tedious parts of the book that made the plot drag, but I did enjoy the ending – that was pretty dramatic.
