A very good book, very fast paced with a great plot twist (which I figured out ;)). The main character was a bit annoying though he was a bit full of himself.

This was an entertaining read with likeable characters. It also somehow strikes a balance between respecting military service members and questioning the the motives and results of their mobilization.

My thoughts
David Baldacci is a go-to author for me, I know I will like his books. This book was a fast read for me and a good start to 2021.I liked how this came full circle, I felt like everything was explained at the end in a way that answered all my questions. I thought it was really well done, especially with all the storylines going on throughout.

I had a feeling about a certain character in the book that I ended up being right about in a way. I liked Will Robie as a character and I can not wait to read the rest books in this series.

Overall this book was really good, which I have found with all of Baldacci's books and it was a great start for 2021.

This was my first David Baldacci and book club book. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It wasn’t my typical choice of book but I’m glad I decided to join the local library adult book club and give it a chance.
