A new direction for the series

This felt a little bit like a clip show checking in on everyone from the previous books, not that that is a bad thing. It was great to see the pupcubs finally get born! And I cannot believe that Ming LeBon is still alive.

Singh has mentioned that this is a "bridge" between the "first season" and the "second season" - which I can totally see. This is also a giant kid fic. Everyone is having babies or cuddling babies or thinking about babies or pregnant. Giant kid fic. I'm assuming we'll be focusing more on the "next generation" going forward.

I looked up psy-changeling fanfic in hopes of finding some Malachi/Bo fanfic but no dice sadly. I'm desperate to see some gay characters in this world. It'll probably never happen though. Le Sigh. I love this world. I really wish I got to see a little more of myself in it.

So many feels!!! Loved it.

I’ve loved the Psy-Changeling series from the very first book and I do have my favorites. I like that I can pick up any of the books and become immersed all over again.

Allegiance of Honor was cleverly done. Ms. Singh has taken threads from fourteen books and woven them together into a story that is sensational and enchanting. It’s heartwarming to read about these characters I have come to love and a little sad at times. I was on the edge of my seat and my emotions where all over the place.

We get to revisit old favorites, go deeper into the BlackSea changelings, learn more about father Xavier (loved how this was done), and get a feel for the hops and dreams of all the different races (Psy, Changeling, Humans, The Forgotten.) We also get answers to many questions.

Allegiance of Honor is the changing of the guard. While one story arc ends a new one is made to move us forward. It was all masterfully done, had my emotions in turmoil, and it’s a roller-coaster ride unlike anything previously seen in this series!

Many interesting things happens in Allegiance of Honor. It’s phenomenal, sweet, and emotional. Fans will not want to miss out.

Rated: 4 Stars

Audio June 2018: WOW what an emotional listen. Revisiting old friends, couples, and seeing the world change was spectacular. A wonderful series to read or listen too. The audio was wonderful. The narrator did a great job with all the different voices and special moments that occur in this novel.

Different book by Nalini Singh, this time there's not a central couple but there are new developments in the general plot, that keep on being the best part, as far as I'm concerned.
We have all together the wolf, the leopard, the sea changeling, the rats, the Psy and the Humans ready for a new turn of event in this great world invented by the author. Plus father Xavier and his Happy Ending. Looking forward to the next book in this series!

Thanks to other reviews, I knew this book was going to be hopping all over the place, as a peek at prior characters and setting up the next series. Some prior characters, we've already seen a lot of throughout the series because they're leaders, like Lucas and Sascha, Hawke and Sienna, Kaleb and Sahara, but others have gotten less page time since their main books and I appreciated those glimpses. A lot of page time was also devoted to the children of the past couples, esp Lucas and Sascha's Psy-Changeling mix baby, as Naya's being threatened. Seeing all the babies (including Mercy's pregnancy and later birthing the pupcubs) was adorable. Written in third person, multi-POV. No ow/om drama, these are all mated couples who are devoted to each other and some have started families.

The continued threats by the Consortium, Ming trying to nose in on the Trinity Accords, and the danger to Naya however broke up the sweeter moments. The water changelings are also a focus of this book as their missing pack members continue to be a priority for their allies. The story felt a bit all over the place unfortunately, even as I liked some of the mystery and investigative moments. It also feels a bit similar in terms of some of the relationships because all the men are possessive and alpha, however the finer points of the relationships differ thankfully. I'm still glad I chose to read this book though because of the cute scenes, the slice of life moments, and the past main characters all working as allies for the good of their packs and the world. The overarching plot of this series has completely altered the fabric of this world and brought out strengths in more vulnerable characters while creating emotional vulnerabilities in some of the stronger ones (in a good way). I can't believe I started this series back in January and spread them out throughout the year. I'm so thankful for my friends who recommended it and wrote such excellent reviews and I do highly recommend others to try this series (just as a reminder, some of the earlier books can be skipped around but as the series continues, they can't be read as standalones anymore or you'd be truly lost).

Reasonably interesting but weakest of the series, and drags in places.

Season finale

It was a bit hard for me to get into the tone of the book but it worked itself out a few chapters in. By the end I wanted to continue the story. Many loose end are tired up but new possibilities opened. I hope the main characters are not lost in the next season. It would seem that important players will still have to make an appearance every one in a while. You have to stay at book one with this series. Nalini plays the ling game and it is so worth your time.

While this is not my favorite it covers a lot of area concerning the attempt to develop the Trinity Accord to develop cooperation between the races and doesn't have a focus of a couple like previous books. However, someone is determined to undermine the Accord. A water changeling is kidnapped. Xavier heads off to look for his love. Someone attempts to kidnap Nadiya.

Such a beautiful wrap-up.
