Reviews with content warning for Panic attacks/disorders - Paris Daillencourt Is About to Crumble

I really love this series and I find myself almost as invested in the outcome of the baking show as I am in the relationship. Despite his many flaws, I really loved Paris and found him relatable in many ways. I do wish the book would have concluded with a little less of an open ending and a bit more closure, but it was happy enough.

bro Paris is so fucking annoying (this is from a person who has a panic disorder) like why is it so hard to recognize that your actions can be caused by a mental illness while still taking responsibility for those actions?? Also Tariq should not have given him so many chances like baby girl respect yourself

I definitely agree with another reviewer- this isn’t for everyone. I liked it, though. As someone who both has been in Paris’s shoes (to a lesser extent) and someone who has friends with anxiety, I really appreciated of an honest portrayal of it as a genuine mental illness.

I also liked how instead of Paris being fixed, he took the time and effort to work on himself before trying a relationship again.

Paris was annoying to read about at times, but it almost felt like the book put us in Tariq’s shoes a bit? Anyway, the character growth was terrific.
