This is a quick read and a good first entry into the Dragon Kin series. Having now read seven subsequent books in the series, I can confidently say that, though foundational, Dragon Actually is the weakest of them all in plot, characters, diversity, and writing, but if you stick with the series, it gets better and better. It has been a pleasure to witness the author's growth as a writer and storyteller.
Graphic: Sexual content
Moderate: Violence, Injury/Injury detail, War, and Gore
Minor: Physical abuse and Death

I really enjoyed this book. I found the characters extremely interesting, and the plot positively captivating. It really was a good read. Warning: Graphic Scenes. [Fighting, Sex, Language] Would not recommend for anyone under eighteen, or even over eighteen who hasn't been exposed to similar content before.
