I enjoyed this one but mostly towards the end. There was something about the writing style that made me feel very detached from the characters and events.

I wanted to love this book. It was beautiful and heart-wrenchingly devastating, but unfortunately most of it was quite dull.
Edit: I just found out that the book is based off the author’s life and now I want to bawl

the way this book literally left me in tears oh my god besson’s prose is magnetic and so so heart wrenching i don’t know how to feel . what i DO know is that this was a phenomenal, essential read
