Preferred this more than double cross but I feel like it was longed out too much and I don’t like the cliff hanger it was left on. I hope the next book ties everything together.

I thought this was a one-off sequel to the original series, so disappointed to have to wait, I did think that there was room to keep going, especially when you think of how long the first book was. Bring on the next one!

a lot better than book 4 but i hated the cliffhanger so much ?? the plot could’ve easily time skipped a bit more, rather than placing such focus on back story (which was completely unnecessary because we literally already had an entire book about callie x tobey

After 4 previous books in the ‘noughts and crosses’ series I have to say this 5th one did not disappoint! I read this book in 3 days in between school and it was worth it. In this novel we follow Callie and Toby's relationship after their troubled past, Malorie Blackman also introduces 2 new characters to the series, Libby Jackman and Troy Ealing. I won’t reveal too much as I don’t want to spoil this fantastic book but you should definitely go and read it right away! Make sure to clear your schedule as you’ll be in for a lot of plot twists, shocks and some desirable moments.

Having loved all the other books unfortunately this felt like Part 1. Like when they try to make a book into a movie so they halve it to make two films out of it. I'll read the sixth book to know the ending of course, but for anyone who's still waiting to read this my advice would be wait until the sixth is out and read them back to back.

Sad to say it’s a DNF for me. Made it to page 137 and I’m just not interested or invested in the characters or the story...I know she felt she wanted to write another book coz of the political climate but I just don’t think it was necessary to continue to Noughts and Crosses series...
Also I heard this book ends on a cliffhanger so there’ll be more to come.
I’m looking forward to the TV show tho..that better be good!
Try it for yourself but I guess it just wasn’t for me

It's my first book by the author and i haven't read the others in the series but didn't felt like really needing to go back as many questions that i had at the beginning were answeres along the way while reading.
It's a very interesting story, with characters that without realising, get under your skin and stay there, making you want to know more, to feel more of their thoughts and turmoils.
I'm not a big fan of dystopian or fantasy books but this one really stuck with me and now i want to read the next one more than anything because i hate that major cliffhanger we were left in.
I liked how the real-life situations are involved in this story and how, even if you're not into politics, it makes you think or be more aware of what's happening in our world at this moment.
