pleasantly surprised!

I have had this on my kindle FOREVER and have put it off but actually this was great fun. Something I really liked was the was Quinn was constructed. I kept waiting for that cliche, fantasy heroine that insists she’s a baddass and it’s her whole personality.

Quinn was soft and trusting and gentle, I feel like I don’t see that enough. She felt like a unique heroine to me :)

Cute, enjoyable read. Enjoyed it while I read it, but not one I would be wanting to re-read soon.

The idea and plot behind the book are good, but the actual writing is pretty low level. I also wish there was more world building.

the beginning was great. it kept me interested to continue the book, but toward the 70% mark it slowed down to a more "rushing to finish the book" vibe
