This was too much of the same--reading over and over again ways things would kill you. It got monotonous even though it aimed to be entertaining. I ended up putting it down and picking it up between books.

3-3.5 to start but gets less compelling pretty quick. Kind of like how mythbusters started strong but faded. And do the authors know what a pike position is? Skeptical.

This book reminded me a lot of Randall Munroe's book "What if?" which I also really enjoyed. Scenarios, both possible and barely imaginable, are put forth and the exact manner at which you would die from these dangers chronicled. I found myself laughing out loud way more than I thought I would reading a book about death. The writing is fantastic and it reads like a fun series of articles rather than a long non-fiction book. I highly recommend checking it out.

It's like that old show "1000 ways to die"

This has lots of neat facts and the chapters are the perfect length for reading during lunch or other short bursts. Definitely a book for the No Such Thing as a Fish crowd.
