The Kissing Booth
I really teetered between 2 and 3 stars on this one. I didn’t love the movie, but still wanted to read the book and see if I liked it better. There were things I liked better, but there were many parts of this story that frustrated me. When Lee found out, everyone blamed Noah and kept insisting he used Elle. Maybe I’m mistaken, but he REPEATEDLY told her in the beginning that he wasn’t just messing with her. Elle was the one who, if memory serves insisted on keeping it a secret. Why Noah took almost all the heat and Elle was forgiven almost immediately was beyond me. Overall, I liked the premise of the story and thought parts of it were cute, but I probably won’t read it again.

Really terrible. Plot has many holes, Elle/Shelly is whiny and hard to like, and the relationship ins totally unbelievable. It's also poorly written.
The author was only 17 when she wrote it, and kudos to her for being brave and creative enough to write and publish a novel at the age of 17, which is why I'm giving this 2 stars instead of 1. The novel does have promise in some areas, and I hope she sticks with it and produces other work that is a bit more fleshed out.

It seems like every story from wattpad that I read so far has the same storyline: the good, innocent girl, falling in love with the bad, violent, sexy guy from highschool, who is trying to get better for the girl. I don't think something can get more cliche than that. But I will give this an extra star because the end wasn't that bad.
adore Beth’s books, literally not one bad one! I couldn’t put the Kissing Booth books down!
