The story line was unique and original, I liked the characters and I enjoyed reading the story. But the quality of writing compared to some others was lower, the book, to put it bluntly, is just another Wattpad story.

i loved the movie and wanted to read the book but i just couldn’t finish it.
really quickly just wanted to point out that i’m about to be a junior in high school and even i can see all of the issues in this book in terms of grammar, punctuation, spelling, sentence structure, etc. not to mention the fact that this is an author from the uk writing from an american’s perspective and rather than using the american dialect, i found many words and phrases that are not used here.
the story is very good and very cute but i found myself stopping on every page just for a breather because i kept finding so many issues that i just could not ignore. it was very irritating to be constantly stopping so i just stopped reading it. i understand that it was originally written on wattpad so my standards weren’t too high going into it but i was still very disappointed with the writing.

I watched the movie first and I decided that the book could be so much better and decided to prove my point by reading the book. I never intended in watching the movies or reading the books just because I wasn't interested. After watching the movies I saw that it was better than I thought it would be and honestly, I will rewatch the movies at some point. I was right the book was so much better than the movies and I like Noah soooooo much better in the book. While watching the movies I also wondered how much of the book they changed into the movie. My answer is a lot. It was pretty different from the book. They added a lot of things that didn't happen in the book. The main ideas of the book were still kept mostly but the movie had a lot of added stuff. I wouldn't say that's a bad thing I would just say they added a ton to make it funnier or something. The characters are also a bit different. I didn't expect them to be exactly the same but I've read books that have been turned into movies before and the characters have always been pretty similar and I felt like I was truly watching that character. With this movie, they changed Lee a lot. I was pretty surprised with how much they changed him but I kinda like him better in the book in some ways. In others ways, I like him better in the book. Overall I think this was a good book and I am going to read the next one.
It is one of my all time favorites. It's such a quick read. The romance in it is so CUTE!
