Home Before Dark follows a woman, Maggie Holt, whose family had become famous from a book her dad wrote years back entailing a haunted experience they had at Baneberry Hall. Maggie has never believed the stories since she was just a child during the ordeal so after the passing of her dad, her skepticism takes Maggie on a unnerving journey where she is now faced with the question, Was my dad telling the truth about the spirits that haunt the manor or was it all a lie?
This was my first Riley Sager novel and I have to say that I throughly enjoyed it. Each chapter leaves you with a little cliffhanger that makes it hard to put the book down.
I give this novel a 3.5 stars but I’ll bump it up to 4 stars for goodreads rating system.

I was genuinely scared reading this.
I thought I seen the end coming and I was totally off. Loved that there was still questions being answered right up until the last page.
Second book of Riley Sager I've read and they're quickly becoming one of my favourite authors.
