Good prose, good pace, interesting story. Characters were well defined enough to keep me engaged. It was all very classic, but it still managed to surprise me. The "ah-ah!" moment got this a whole extra star. Otherwise a good relaxing read for those who love ghost horror.
Fun read! Ending is kinda predictable and womp womp, but I still really enjoyed the story. :)
Riley Sager: [basically writes the same book every year]
Me, every single time: talented! brilliant! incredible! amazing! show stopping! spectacular!
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ what can I say, he's got a winning formula and he's sticking with it

This was reallly fun and realllyyyy scary. So many twists and turns and so many scary ghost images! It reminded me a lot of haunting of hill house which I LOVE.
The perfect haunted house thriller that keeps you guessing. Spooky, addictive, twisty, loved it! 5⭐️

So you’re telling me none of this would have happened if they didn’t abandon their child to f*** each other
Fantastic page-turner until the very last second! Loved the style of narration switching between two perspectives. My only complaint is I read this directly after Sager’s The Only One Left and there were some annoying similarities in characters and even plot. For example: a secret is hidden in the same object in both books.
Regardless, it’s a fun read!
