I was slow starting this, I started it and let my hold expire without even really getting into it. A compelling read, liked the parallel stories. But a few too many surprise twists for no real reason and honestly way less scary or spooky than past books from Sager.
I really enjoyed this book. A perfect spooky October read and a deeper story than I was expecting. I definitely did not predict all the twists and turns this book took at the end and wish they were slightly more elaborated on since I felt like I was getting whiplash from the craziness. Overall though, I thoroughly enjoyed this book from beginning to end. Definitely recommend!

My first time reading Riley Sager but definitely not the last! I was interested in literally every chapter and loved the two points of view. So good!
book was so incredibly painstakingly slow that i thought i had gotten my period three times while reading it, and i haven’t bled in months. my womb is so barren yet it holds more plot than the entire book did. i think everyone who liked this book needs to be sentenced to death because of you consider this entertaining you probably kill kids in your free time. and if you’re gonna write the worst book of all time at least make it scary idk
