This book had so many twists and turns and was just thoroughly enjoyable. If you’re not a fan of horror, it’s not as bad as the description makes it seem.

another BANGER from the thriller king, this was the definition of a slow burn, i loved flipping between the different perspectives, docked a star bc the twists came so fast that i didn’t have time to believe one thing before my mind was changed

Nothing is what it seems

This book was like a train, just chugging along nonstop. The action was great, it held my interest and was not overwritten.

I felt like there were huge info dumps instead of story. Even at the end, it was one huge-I’m going to explain everything that happened so I don’t have to write anymore.

This is my second book I’ve read by Riley Sager and Riley does not let me down.

I literally haven’t stopped thinking about this book! “When Maggie inherits Baneberry Hall after her father's death, she returns to renovate the place to prepare it for sale. But her homecoming is anything but warm. People from the past, chronicled in House of Horrors, lurk in the shadows.” This book bounces back and forth between her fathers POV in the book he wrote about their time in the house and Maggie’s time back in the house after his death. Just when I thought this book couldn’t get any crazier it does! Just when I think I have it figured out, it totally switches it up on you.

This was my first Riley Sager and I have to say, I’m definitely NOT disappointed! The POV shift was awesome actually. And for each chapter of Maggie’s to either prove or debunk what her father had said was really cool to read. Definitely looking forward to reading more Riley Sager books!

4.5⭐️ ainda estou a ponderar esta pontuação. Adorei o livro, foi uma experiência incrível de leitura mas o final ficou um bocado aquém. Esperava algo melhor, mais calmo se calhar e mais extraordinário
