I enjoyed this book. It was a fast read and kept me guessing for the most part. It wasn’t horror like The Shining (which I could not read at night), but it was a reasonable ghost story to read during a rainy PNW winter!!

I just finished the audiobook and when I say I RAN to give it 5 stars on Goodreads... I loved everything about this book and the ending left me gasping! I'm the type who loves a deep convoluted mystery with tons of twists and keeps my attention the entire time. This book was 100% that. The bonus is that it features a paranormal angle, which is simply the cherry on top. I highly recommend the audiobook for the two PoVs as it's much easier to keep track of who you are reading (I've noticed the reviews that say it can be confusing). I can absolutely see this turned into a movie!

I guessed part of this, but it still surprised me in many other ways. A very fun thriller with a cool structure (a book inside a book) and lots of twists.
