Easily a 5⭐️ read. Thought about it non-stop, it tied together perfectly at the end, actually can’t fault it.

Mystinen ja hieman pelottava kirja ajoittain. Kuitenkin miellyttävä lukea ja kivasti rakennettu juoni.

I really liked this book! Such a spooky and captivating storyline that had me hooked from the beginning! I loved the combination of the main character's perspective and the 'Book' to tell the story and have you questioning everything. Definitely recommend!!

That’s not how Polaroid cameras work.

3.5 stars. I could not put it down, but the end was honestly disappointing.

Spoiler I’m tired of reading alleged paranormal stories and then the twist reveals it was humans all along.

Yay I finally finished a book! The first in 7 months. I’ve been eagerly waiting for this book to be released and for good reason. I love Riley Sager’s writing style, it’s so easy to follow. I’ve been having so much trouble with words just bouncing straight back out of my brian and not being able to focus or absorb anything. COVID plus family drama plus poor physical health and very poor mental health doesn’t lend itself to a good concentration span.

I didn’t give this book five stars though because of the gothic nature of the story. I did enjoy that the book made fun of itself and how cheesily gothic it was. I know people love this style, I’m just not that big a fan. Also I was set over three time periods which got a bit confusing at times. But all in all, I read this in a day, so can’t complain about that!
dark mysterious sad medium-paced

This was unfortunately a lot more predictable than precious books. Definitely the weak link but I'm still so excited for Sager's next books!
