Following the suggested reading order, I read this book immediately after finishing The Serpent and the Wings of Night. While I now know the characters introduced are in book 2 of the Crowns of Nyaxia series, I enjoyed it as a view from elsewhere in that world. I can’t wait to see how this whole story progresses.

For a novella this was SO good, I would have loved it to be a full length novel. I adored how Vale treated Lilith and the tension between them

brb just want to finish squealing into my pillow.
No honestly, how is this novella better than most book series being published? Deadass managed to make me cry for a bit.
Sometimes all it takes is a human marked by death and a vampire who’s whipped for her to make a great story
