3.8 ⭐ round up cause three stars is just not enough.

Short and sweet! I might made a mistake of reading this first before the first book of this series, but since it's a standalone novela, I think it's not that big of a deal. Even though I knew nothing about the "lore" of this world, I still have a great time while reading it. And knowing Vale and Lilith will have a part in the second book, I am excited to meet them again.

From about the 75% point and on I thought I was going to rate this 4 stars, having read Raihn & Oraya’s story first (which, 5 ⭐️s because I love being emotionally DEVASTATED and then uncomfortably resuscitated by a damn book, I mean that’s what I paid for

Oh I really liked this. I very much hope these characters show up in the next book and doesn’t exist to just give more context and world building because that would be a tragedy. Also loved the implied neuro-spiciness of the fmc and the normalcy… acceptance she felt from Vale.
