This domestic psychological suspense is my 2nd book by this UK born author now living in the US.

On the surface there are 3 couples looking to buy their dream house.
Tom and Millie, Kyle and Harper, Stacey and Felix are all involved in the house chain

There are more sociopaths and psychopaths in this book than you can shake a stick at šŸ˜‚
I was getting a bit judgy about Harper, then i thought at least she is  transparent about her conniving manipulative behaviour. The others are just far more subtle about itšŸ˜‚
Millie’s wit made me chuckle.
As you can guess with a book full of psychopaths, the characters aren’t exactly likeable, but they are highly entertaining.

There are sections labelled SET Talks psychology series which provide a lighthearted look into the traits of psychopathy.

I have to say that I found myself totally rooting for Millie. I liked her, with her fierce need to protect the vulnerable.

It’s eye poppingly shocking!! It has some real OMG what am I reading moments. It’s dark, gritty and at times gory. It blew me away.

It’s a stunning book, its not one that will appeal to everyone as there are triggers. For those who like to delve into the dark side jump on in, you’ll love it.

The New House
Three couples looking for their dream home. How far would you be willing to go for the perfect life ?!

Wow that was one of the most intense thrillers i have read in a long time found it lightly confusing at first but once I figured out who was who I was hooked and so invested in the story.

Tess Stimson's novel The New House stands out as the most excellent thriller I've read in 2022. It captivated me from beginning to end and I could not put it down.

Synopsis:
The lives of three couples become entwined after a real estate transaction turns south. How far will each couple go to own their dream home?

The New House is brilliantly written. The characters are well fleshed out and the suspense is heart-stopping. If you enjoy a book with plot twists and surprises, then The New House is for you. This is my first book by Tess Stimson. Her books are now on my must-read author's list. I highly recommend this novel. It does contain violence so be aware of the trigger warnings. (5 huge ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐)

The New House by Tess Stimson is available on August 4th.

Thank you, NetGalley and Avon Books UK, for allowing me to review this outstanding book. I loved every page of it!

WOW WOW WOW WOW

This book is nuts. I absolutely loved it! Even at almost 400 pages I FLEW through it, absolutely needing to know what was going to happen next. I love that we get the POV of so many different characters, and each character is pretty transparent with the reader, which is kind of a cool change of pace for a thriller.

There's a big theme throughout the book that I think made it so much more enjoyable, but it's not mentioned in the synopsis so I won't spoil it. In fact, I don't even think the synopsis does this book justice. It's 1000% unputdownable.

I cannot wait to read more of Tess Stimson's work!

The New House will be on UK bookshelves August 4, and US bookshelves October 25!
