Really enjoyed this book about relationships, family, identity. The characters felt real and the plot carried, despite its largely connecting to the mundanity of life. Loved all the descriptions of Japanese food! Washington is a talented writer.

I loved the the first 3/4ths of the book and the ending fell flat for me. I love the authors writing style and the story though. Loved the different perspectives from mike and benson and the story about their parents. Not sure what the photos in the book added, I was a little confused by that.

okay so good, I vaguely liked [b:Lot: Stories|40749395|Lot Stories|Bryan Washington|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1531178755l/40749395._SY75_.jpg|63420959] but I definitely prefer this one, just bc the characters were so well fleshed out
