The first few chapters had me worried we were gonna get a lot of miscommunication drama. Thankfully that wasn’t the case. Hyun-woo and Young-won’s bickering was fun, and they both grew emotionally throughout the series. The last fifteen or so chapters was what really gave it the extra 0.25⭐️, because of how well handled the final conflict was handled.
When they’re hooking up casually, Hyun-woo is very clear about treating Young-won properly. When he oversteps, he takes a lot of time to think about why he did that and how it hurt Young-won.
This stays the same when they date for real: Hyun-woo crosses a line, Young-won. holds him accountable, and Hyun-woo is like “Yeah I’m sorry I shouldn’t have done that, no excuses. You had it covered.” Then they move on. Crazy how communication works!!
He picks up on Young-won’s self-consciousness and gives him space to talk about it. I’m kinda surprised at how emotionally aware he was in general.
He’s also trusting and insists that Young-won put his career first, bc he knows that it’s important to him.
Hyun-woo also makes a point of being up front when he has several reasons not to do so to his advantage. He doesn’t lie explicitly because he doesn’t want to “hurt his partner’s feelings in the long run,” and that he needs to be able to tell his boyfriend how things are. Do you know how many times I WISHED couples in romance manhwa would straight up sit and explain everything? The first time this happened I was like “OH SHIT! I forgot you’re thirty years old and actually being reasonable!” Maybe I’m just tired of reading about couples eventually sneaking through each other’s phones or derailing careers. Kidnapping, even. Good God.
Young-won also grew a lot, I like that his view of romance shifts into something healthier, and that he actually grew some better standards. Even if I wouldn’t have started sleeping with someone so quickly after seeing them lmao I could definitely see where he was coming from. I think going through what he had would also taint my view on things.
When he started advocating for himself and his career more I was super proud. And I’m glad that while Hyun-woo taught smarter practices in sex, Young-won showed him how much affection and mutual respect can change your experience. Super heartwarming.
Lastly, the antagonist ex felt a bit cliche but it brought out the ways the two main characters had changed, emotionally speaking—so I was alright with it.

Minor: Homophobia
There is explicit, consensual sex between two adults. There is an instance of one of the main characters being uncomfortable during penetration so they stop. There are discussions of one main character’s poor standards of safe sex & aftercare, which the story clearly portrays as concerning. A main character struggles a lot with self esteem in relationships, in part due to an incident with an ex. (Young-won is called gross for enjoying bottoming as a gay man, and the ex insist they turn the lights off so his face doesn’t ruin the mood. This affects him so much that he repeatedly asks the other main character to turn the lights off when they’re intimate. ). This ex returns and tries to mess with a main character’s career to keep them closer together. The story clearly shows this as wrong and disgusting. Characters drink alcohol as part of after work traditions, and sometimes get drunk.

These two are absolutely perfect for each other🥰
Pretty great enemies-to-lovers with mature characters (30+), fantastic communication and problem solving skills, good smut and the one thing that most yaois miss, consent!! with a decent and caring top. Love to see it
I'll keep my fingers crossed for some side stories but tbh, that sn 2 ending was fantastic
