“Remember to spread your sunshine. Never underestimate the importance of your light to someone living in a bank of clouds.” ♥️

Emilia and every second born daughter in her family are cursed. They will never find love no matter what. One day Emilia receives a call from her estranged great aunt Poppy, a second born daughter, inviting her to travel to Italy with her for her 80th birthday to break the curse. Emilia & her cousin Lucy (also a second born) accompany their great aunt on the adventure of a lifetime that will change everything… ✈️

This book was such a delight! The imagery made me feel like I was in Italy with them. The journey the three women go through made me feel a variety of emotions and the plot twists were fantastic. If you are looking for a read to escape into this is it!

This isn't my usual type of read, but I gave it a shot because I love Italy and there was a supposed family curse on second-born daughters. Let's go for it!

I figured I would enjoy it well enough, but WOW did I get way more than I expected! The journeys of Emilia and her aunt Poppy. The family drama and secrets surrounding their family. It was distressing, devastating, and painful. I thought "How? Why?" My heart was crushed.

I thought I had an idea of where this book going when I started it, but boy was I wrong. In the end, I felt both broken and filled with joy...I sobbed like a baby.

This book made me feel so many things that I didn't have a choice but to give it five stars.
