This is a great first book to start off a great series. A very witty and intelligent story that does a good job of introducing you to characters that you will see throughout the rest of the Discworld books.

Rincewind is a loveable character akin to a wizard version of Charlie Brown where nothing ever seems to go right for him, but he somehow manages to make it through, only a little worse for wear. I would highly recommend this book for anyone who loves great character and world building and also needs a bit of humor in their lives.

Terry Prachett never disappoints.
