Susannah's mom remarried and not just adding a new stepfather and 3 stepbrothers(!!) to the mix, she had to move across the continent to California to start at a new high school.
Starting at a new school isn't the worst part but arriving to your new home to found a ghost (Jesse) haunting your room is crazy enough, then to arrive at school to face an angry ghost that wants revenge on an ex-boyfriend (Bryce) for breaking up with her is taking it to the extreme!
Now Susannah has to deal with this crazy ghost threatening her and her family and bringing harm to everyone at the school! She must do something and she almost got herself killed! But in the end she was able save the day!
I always love a good ghost story but I haven't quite find many that I like but this was definitely one of them. Susannah's humor and snarky remarks. Doc's nerdy and smart intelligence. Jesse's kindness and a hot distraction for Susannah. I love all the characters and it make it a good read!
I was having a hard time debating how I should rate it since it's a reread. I ask myself if its just as good as the first time I read it? And the answer is YES.
Was it keeping me off my seat excited? Somewhat. Since I already forgot most of details. I definitely want to continue rereading the rest of the series.
If I haven't already read it once before I might have expected more. There was paranormal activity, romance (love it!), strong characters. For a book I read when I was in my early teens it definitely satisfies all those criterias. But it's not a 5 now, it's missing something that I can't quite pinpoint.

This series is phenomenal i should say,with little faults.Love Meg Cabot!!Loved suze n Jesse,too
I adore Suze and Jesse and the family and friends around them. Suze sees ghosts and reacts like any teen would, and she sees them for a reason and deals with them in a realistic, funny fashion.

I loved this book as a teenager and wanted to re-read when I saw on Libby. This book has some parts that really did not age well.
Minor: Fatphobia, Homophobia

It was fun rereading this again! Things slowly came back to me. Pretty quick, light book.
Solid read. Loved this as a teenager and still do. Bit cheesy in places but what do you expect. Suze is brilliant and I feel if I was a mediator I would be the same way
this book was great but i feel like i've grown out of this type of book. despite everything being fast-paced and interesting, i feel like it was more for a younger audience.
