I'm loving the Wilder brothers! Eli and his brothers are finally getting their resort off the ground and right now he needs a new wedding planner ASAP. He can't get the one he met a few years ago out of his mind, but after their one dance her boyfriend proposed and he hasn't seen her since. Alexis is picking up the pieces of her life after her disastrous marriage and divorce. She desperately needs this job, even if its working for the man she still hasn't forgotten. Eli is surprised that his interview is with Alexis and hires her that day. He knows he is attracted to her, as she is to him, but they both have so much baggage they are afraid of what they are feeling. They both are focused on their jobs and making Wilder Resorts the best in the area, which means no hanky-panky! They slowly realize they can't stay away from each other and decide to see where their attraction heads. Just when it looks like things might finally go her way, her ex starts leaving her messages and all too soon his threats become real. Eli protects what is his and Alexis is his, whether she will admit it or not! Now he has to protect her and the resort that his brothers have worked so hard to build. There are the beginnings of the backstories with each brother and their baggage, all their snarky back and forth, a rival businessman who won't take no for an answer, danger, passion, romance and hope....I just LOVED the first book in this series!

Eli and Alexis had a brief meeting two years ago at a wedding. Since then moth have had some things change for them. Eli and his brothers have shined on the dotted line and now own and operate Wilder Resort. Alexis in the other hand has not been doing as well. She is surprised when she goes for a job interview and sees Eli standing there. These two had such a connection from the beginning and I love seeing that grow.

This story was really cute!
I really liked Alexis and Eli together! I totally get Eli’s older sibling responsibility mentality! I felt bad for Alexis a lot of the book with her ex-husband! Honestly, this book made me super excited for the next book about Kendel and Evan! I will definitely be reading that soon!

Eli is the eldest of the Wilder brothers who didn't want to miss out on more time with his family so created a way they can all work together.
Alexis had everything going for her until she ws cheated of all she had worked so hard for.
Though a dance had introduced Eli & Alexis, fate bought them together. Though in true Carrie Ann fashion, nothing is ever as straightforward as boy meets girl and they live happily ever after.

Carrie Ann Ryan has a talent for interweaving all characters into her storyline and I can't wait for the rest of the Wilder brothers stories.

Eli and Alexis’s story is complicated. In A Night for Us, prequel to One Way Back to Me, we see the spark between Eli and Alexis as they meet at a wedding (where she’s the wedding planner) however, Alexis’s boyfriend publicly pops the question and, well, that’s that for Eli.

Or is it? Fast forward a few years and Eli, along with his brothers who have established Wilder Resort, is looking for a wedding planner to fill the position recently vacated. And who applies? Alexis.

Both Eli and Alexis have had some bumps in the road along the way. It has taken tremendous effort on all of the brothers’ part to get the resort, which includes a winery, running the way they envisioned it. Alexis has wounds from a failed marriage and fallout around that. Alexis needs this job as much as the Wilders need her wedding planner skills.

But is the spark still there between Eli and Alexis? Are they both in a place where they want to act on it? There’s some definite angst but also such sweet times. And getting to know most of the brothers a little better, plus the other supporting characters, adds to the fun! An enjoyable start to the new Wilder series!

Finished this book over a week ago and haven’t been able to find the right words to describe how I felt about this book. We’ve met Eliza’s brothers briefly in the Montgomery Fort Collins series. They’ve now gotten their own series of books. Eli the eldest of the bunch is 1st up. All he wants is to make something for himself and his brothers, something they can be proud of. Along the way he meets and then looses the girl. But don’t you worry, faith always has a way of making things right. Alexis and Eli meet again and the same heat they had before his still there. They try very hard to deny it but in the end what’s meant to be will be. A Wilder will always get what they set their eyes and mind to.

The Wilder Brothers finally have their own series, after meeting them in the Montgomery series (INKED OBSESSION) and all are former military. The series starts with the oldest, Eli, who is taking the lead with his brothers as they figure out their retirement working and living together at Wilder Resort and Winery.

We met Alexis in the prequel novella (not required reading, but a great introduction), and things aren’t going so well for her wedding planning business after her divorce. She is hopeful for the job opening at Wilder Resort, but remembers Eli and hopes that won’t be a distraction.

Eli knows she is a fantastic wedding planner and exactly what Wilder resort needs but he is worried about the temptation. There is plenty of chemistry, as Alexis settles in at the resort, and these two fight their feelings.

This was a great beginning to this new series. All the brothers are introduced, as well as a few hints on the romance still to come in this series (the set up of Evan and Kendall in ALWAYS THE ONE FOR ME has me eagerly anticipating their story!).

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

One Way Back To Me is the story of Eli and Alexis. We finally get to meet the Wilder brothers ! The story starts out a bit sad as it seems Eli and Alexis missed their chance to be together. Fast forward and you see the Wilders opening up their new ranch and Alexis coming to work there. Alexis’s situation has completely changed but her and Eli still have that same spark they did from the past. They dance around each other but finally realize they can’t fight the inevitable! Of course someone from Alexis’s past tries to destroy what his happening but our duo make it out on the other side. This is a great start to a new series and I cannot wait for book 2…the teaser at the end has me counting down until the release!

The peeks at these characters in Eliza’s story and even the prequel did not do this first in an amazing new series justice.

I'm 1.5 books into the Wilder Brothers series and I'm already in love! Loved getting to know Eli and his siblings. The way Eli & Alexis met was not under the most ideal circumstances. And from the way things looked, it didn't look like their paths would cross again. I'm so glad that everything is not as it first appears. Really enjoyed getting to know Eli & Alexis. Emma Wilder & Jacob Morgan did an amazing job narrating! I absolutely can't wait for book 2 in the Wilder series.
