I liked the different perspectives (Tao, George and Wiliam) and the overarching theme of parent-child relationship. Lunde touched an important subject, but I found parts of her writing could still be improved in terms of character portrayals.

This book will definitely stick with me for a while!
First off is the obvious contemplation about life without bees. Who will succumb and who will survive when food is limited in first world nations? How will governments react? This book made me think, but only broadly touches on these subjects.
The second level it hit me on was the storyline. A mom's search for her son, a dad's desire to connect with his son, a man's crippling depression as he realizes his life took some unexpected turns. I found all the characters to be well developed and didn't think any of the storylines dragged at all.
I'm looking forward to reading more by Maja Lunde!

This is a pretty damn good book, and unlike the title may suggest, you do not need to know about bees for this to be a solid read. Does a great job of intertwining three different story lines in a way in which they link without being dependent upon one another.
Definitely worth a read.
