sinners movie, this book, and two ethel cain albums all coming out in 2025, it's a big year for me specifically. i love my southern horror religious symbolism daddy issues small town queer-coded music-focused media

This book is the definition of average. It has a very interesting premise but it misses the mark on the execution. For me being YA was holding it back. I felt it could/should have been 150 pages longer. Give us a little bit more and maybe ramp up gritty-ness. It’s not bad but it didn’t live up to my expectations especially being a debut that is given a sprayed edge special edition release
