There’s not been a second epilogue that I’ve looked more forward to than It’s In His Kiss: The 2nd Epilogue. Its description made me instantly excited, compelling me to read it at once. However, the extremely slow build-up was quite frustrating. With such an interesting and special story it’s a shame it was damped by how dull the first 2/3 of it is. I even feared lack of pay-off, possibly missing Gareth’s reaction to Hyacinth’s findings or something of the likes of it.
However, the ending did make up for a some of it. It was beautiful, heartwarming, and most importantly, satisfying. I’d prefer if it'd been longer, but I understand that timing is sometimes more important. Nevertheless, personally, I would’ve focused more of what happens after the breakthrough rather than what happened before. Much of it felt like filler-content, I fear.
