A surprisingly fun combination of genres from crime to fantasy with interesting and diverse characters. The pacing is good, the fantasy is original and the story is compelling. Definitely would recommend.

This series came to me highly recommended by several friends. Though it has all the components of the kind of urban fantasy I usually love, I could never get into this one and was bored throughout, kept looking for a reason to put it down and do something else. The only reason I didn't add it to the "did not finish" pile is because of the excellent audio narration.
