I love books that have ... not just advice, but practical, followable directions. The one thing I wish she'd discussed more is the issue of what I refer to as splashback: when someone from a dominant group speaks out against injustice towards a marginalized group, any resistance that results may be directed not at them (or not only at them) but at people who are in that group. Obviously, that isn't a reason to avoid speaking or acting against racism (or other isms), but it does mean that we should be aware and thoughtful as we do so.

A fantastic refresher on approaching dismantling white privilege and truly doing the work to be an ally - not a performative ally.

Helpful if you’re new to the subject but it was redundant in places and posed more questions then it answered. I expected a bit more.

A good resource for self examination. I thought the questions and activities were useful and liked the thorough list of additional resources at the end.

I was hoping for an Antiracism 202 book, and this wasn't quite it. But it was a very informative book, gave me some point of actions, and I'm glad I read it.

It got a bit repetitive in places and there were some facts that were false (at one point, she said that 88% of white women had voted for Trump in the 2020 election - it was roughly 52% depending on the poll, which is a horrifying enough statistic).

I really appreciate the chapter specifically on perfectionism in allyship and how it can be a huge stumbling block for white people trying to be allies

An important guide for white readers who are just beginning their anti-racist journey. However, a lot of the questions this supposedly practical handbook poses are the ones I expected it to answer.
