This book is very much about starting a business and then selling part of the business. There is some relationship stuff thrown in. I don’t know much about business and found it mildly interesting.

I weirdly felt as though this was too fast and too jargon-y, but in a way that felt like it should be edited rather than in an intentional way. I flew through this as the plot was engaging, but I think it could have benefited from better editing

Really slow. Great for anyone interested in starting a business/business merger type deal and I understand the link to Foster-Blake's own life experiences, but that side of things was not relatable to me. I understood and related to the mum side of things and that definitely made me feel seen... I am also still waiting for things to calm down.

I listened to this, which meant that most of the time is was like a Cosmopolitan 'how to start a company' podcast wittering away in the background. A weird mix of start up business book and the stories of the kind of pretty, vapid women with good hair that you see being influencers on social media. Really quite awful. Even more boring than listening to someone's dream being retold but somehow also incredibly stressful and really triggering for working mothers.
