Loved everything about this book - the pacing, the story, the characters, and the gradual introduction of the pseudo science fiction elements over the course of the book. My only hang up is not being able to fully comprehend how the whole ‘box’ apparatus works, which is kind of a key element to understand. Perhaps the tv show adaptation that’s coming out soon might answer that question for me though.

May book for In case you missed it challenge (2016).
I read it in one sitting. It reminded me of the Martian in that I could not put it down, but I didn’t follow all the “science.” There were a few points that I felt were off but I really enjoyed it.

Cool premise, but I couldn't care less about any of the characters and the ending was kind of anticlimactic.

I'm not entirely sure how to feel about this book. I was on the edge of my seat at times, and wanting to smack Jason at other times. The audio was well done, I enjoyed it more than the print copy.

I felt as if this book did a lot of telling alongside the showing. I wanted more character growth outside of jumping realities. I also found his obsession with his wife to be a bit much but after talking to another person I think that he was just desperate and grieving and in love. (but also, hello stalker).
I still think it was a great book club pick.

Ok and honestly, WHAT ABOUT ALL THOSE RANDOM JASONS??? Are they just gonna chill in Chicago without hope for the rest of time? And last hot take, Charlie's character was just an add on. Poor Charlie.
