I... I can't even put into words how heartbreakingly beautiful this book is. I laughed. I cried. I screamed. I cried some more. This might be my favorite book of Garber's. Evangeline is such a warm and brave character. I want to be besties with her. I love how empathetic and kind she stays even through all the trials life has thrown her way. And Jacks... JACKS! That dummy! I just want to yell at him "get out of your own way man" [quote brought to you by Ted Lasso].
I was truly fighting for breath those last few chapters. I expect that I will NOT be sleeping tonight as I dash to read the last book of the series.

i read this while i was in a streak of main characters just having variations of the name evangeline and it pissed me off so bad i considered dnf’ing but i did finish it. I think its probably better than caraval and its arguably the best book of the series
