4 hours 42 minutes - This rating is a compromise between a lower rating for the beginning of the book, and a higher rating for the end of the book. I cannot be sure however, whether it is the book itself that I didn't enjoy as much in the beginning, or whether that was due to the stress I was feeling when I was reading that part. Nevertheless, the ending of this book was one of the best I've read of Riordan yet - I love how the three groups of characters end up joining back together only for things to end in tragedy, perfectly setting up the next book.

this is my favorite riordanverse book. the pacing and character development make for a suspenseful and adventurous read. annabeth, percy, piper, and leo are my favorite narrators. they are funny and balance each other out, while providing different perspectives on the same journey. every chapter in this book provides something new and exciting. i love the argo 2 so much.

Oh man, this one ends on quite the cliffhanger! I had forgotten about that. I would immediately pick up the next one, but I have some review books I have to finish first. I better get on it so I can see what happens next!

I still think this gets a little on the long side, probably partly because of Riordan's popularity at this point. But also, there is a lot going on for this particular prophecy and story! Like, there are two more books left, but there are so many things to wrap up! Particularly because there are so many more characters going on the quest in this one. Seven is quite honestly a lot, even if they don't all have POV chapters in every book.

Can't wait to see what happens next (because I definitely don't remember!).
