I was very skeptical about reading the novellas from the Kate Daniels universe, but I should never have doubted the Ilona Andrews duo. This was extremely entertaining just as the full length novels and you definitely didn't feel like you were missing Kate and Curran in here. It's the kind of story that can stand very well on its own, the plot is easy to follow but makes you stay on the edge of your seat and the characters are likeable and make you root for them and want to read more about them.

Dali is also pretty funny. Her and Jim story is also pretty interesting.

Another great novella really enjoyed learning more about Dali and just how special she is. Also knowing how far she went to help Jim was really sweet a little bit of a love conquers all storyline.
