Possibly better than the first, but it's been awhile so that's hard to say. I had a really hard time putting this book down once I got into the thick of it. Her newest book in the series, Envy, comes out in January of 2009 and you know I'll be wanting to read that!

I am eating this up! The only bad thing is that I have to wait for the next book (late Jan 2009)!

It was actually still very well written and enjoyable right up until close to the end. I'm very upset about the way she ended this book. Maybe you'll feel differently.

Just like the first book, this book begins with the end. We see everyone attending Henry Schoonmaker's wedding and then we're sent back about a month. Henry isn't engaged, Elizabeth is still MIA, and Penelope is a very good girl.

I love how big of a character Diana is in this book, she was a main in the Luxe but ever more present in Rumors and it was fun to read about her outrageous actions. Lina, the maid, is also further developed in this book and trying to make her way into society. Its a fun read and the deeper you get into the book, the more you want to continue.

I still don't understand why I can't stop reading these books. I'm not one to care for fashion, high society, or rich brats (exactly what most of the characters are) But yet I have to keep reading. The only people that are happy in these books are the people who lie, cheat, or sell their way to the happiness they hope to obtain. It's rather annoying. With that being said I will now start book three.

I LOVED this book. They seem to get better as they go along. After I finished I cried. Will's death certainly shocked me. It came by so fast I had no earthly idea what was going on. Diana and Henry always seem to make me cry. Diana and Henry are like made for each other. I was so mad when Henry married Penelope, but he did it because he loved Diana. <3 I can't wait to read the others.
