I loved the rhyming verse in this non-fiction picture book. The author takes you on a tour of different types of trains. The illustrations are beautifully crafted and lets the reader really explore the world of trains. There is also an glossary of trains at the end of the book. This is a perfect book for school aged children who love trains!~

A book for train enthusiasts, this collections includes 13 poems and two pages of interesting train facts - all notated on a different freight car (clever)! Gentle, easily accessible poems with a really great word thrown in here and there....delightful!

Young train enthusiasts will flock to this collection of many different types of poetry about many different types of trains. From sleeper trains to steam engines to bullet trains to subways, there's a little something for everyone here. A spread at the back includes a number of train facts, each printed on a train car.

Beautiful writing and beautiful illustrations as to be expected from Candlewick Press.

I'm excited that Skila, who lives in Bloomington, will be presenting at #ISLA19!
