Cool, quick read. Not a super deep exhaustive analysis, but that's not what these Zero Books are about, they're supposed to be quick, smart, accessible, and a way for smart people to challenge our un-considered situation. I dig that. Looking forward to reading more.

This book had some interesting points, however I felt that the whole thing was made more difficult to understand than it needed to be by the phrasing and language used. At times it seemed that Nina Power had received a thesaurus for Christmas and felt that she needed to use it as much as possible. The flow of the book was ruined for me by having to look things up in the dictionary constantly and then figure out in what way she meant the word.

I am all for academic discussion, but I also think that making a work accessible is important, and parts of this book were almost incomprehensible to me. The reader loosing the point of the argument because of the language used doesn't help anyone...
