3.5 stars. Let's consider this my review for the entire 7-volume series.
This is my kind of series. I greatly enjoyed the concept of the power of words presented in this shojo fantasy tale and I generally felt its exploration was well executed. The love triangle was interesting and I enjoyed the characters. My one comlaint - the ending felt rather rushed. I would have liked to see greater development of some of the masters introuced in the last few volumes, and I'm not sure that the impact of the "lost words" was nearly as significant as it could have been. Maybe it was the fact that I read the last volume pretty late at night, but I just didn't get it. Oh well. It was fun anyway.

Incursion dans le monde des manga shojo. Celui-ci fait partie d'une série culte, vieille déjà de 20 ans. Je n'ai plus l'âge de lire cela mais je trouve qu'on doit être ouvert et se laisser surprendre et c'est bon, drôle, avec des personnages pas nunuches (j'étais réticente à l'idée que ce soit fleur bleue de bas étage, pas du tout, c'est romance juste ce qu'il faut pour le public cible), des messages importants à destination des (pré-)ados et j'adore les dessins (étant une néophyte, je découvre).

This is a great manga series. Characters are really cute and well defined. I loooove the bunny, she is so cute! As for Alice, sometimes I want to slap her because she is stupid(especially in front of Kyo) and sometimes I want to hug her. Yet I love the idea of getting into people's inner self and "cure" them because there are monsters inside of them. Well it is a way to explain some people's ill-will

Not my favorite of Watase Yuu's work. I like the theme - the power of words, specially ones that can cause deep hurt. Alice and Kyo are very interesting characters, and the whole manga essentially follows their growth to expressing their true selves instead of constantly repressing their feelings. But the story was very rushed, specially towards the end, where a lot of characters and even institutions are brought up, with little consequence. The best part for me was probably the interaction between Kyo and Frey, with a lot of fun bickering but deep trust as well. That is the type of intearactions Watase Yuu excels at, and it did bring to mind Tamahome/Tasuki.
Note that this manga has nothing to do with Alice in Wonderland, other than including a rabbit.

Mind you, based on the events of the first volume, and Mayura's reaction to her sister being assaulted, Alice's reaction is very understandable. Seriously, Mayura was taking the side of the guy that assaulted her sister, as an overblown reaction to a simple photo!Spoiler
The majority of the Lotis masters introduced in the last couple of volumes did not really get much development and did not play much of a role. It seems they were added to bulk up the numbers of the side of light once minions appeared on the side of dark.Note that this manga has nothing to do with Alice in Wonderland, other than including a rabbit.

I really love Yuu Watase's art so much. I think this is one of the earlier manga's I read by her after Fushigi Yuugi. I am drawn to so many things in the story and especially when I first read it I sympathized a lot with Alice. I also love archery and have had a crush on Kyo since book one. I mean he does archery, bakes, and defends people's honor? What's not to love!?
This story follows Alice, who saves a white rabbit, then is saved by her crush, the wonderful Kyo, and then basically everything goes a little bit crazy. She is learning how words have power and how it's not good to keep them inside but also that she needs to be careful what she says.
