The Trial is the second book I read by Kafka after reading The Castle. Both stories have the protagonist struggling against unintelligible authority and both have the main character names as K, which might refers that Kafka is trying to navigate what his opaque authority stands for in his life.

A good book, a good plot, but at least in my copy, the line breaks were practically non-existant. Also women being very, very weirdly written, which did bleed over to what was described as 13 year olds, which its quite gross to me. Nice to have read, would never bother reading again.
