One of my all time favorite feminist reads in a world where a Matriarchal Society rules with an iron fist. The language is based around “woms” and “menwoms”. The book focuses on the rise of the Menwoms Liberation movement, including the burning of the “pehose” contraptions that menwoms are pressured to wear to showcase their penises. Though written in the 70’s, still relevant today.

I loved this book. Imagine a world where gender norms/roles are nearly completely reversed. That’s what this book does. It brings to mind a French Netflix film called ‘I Am Not An Easy Man’. The author wrote this book in 1977...and we still need intersectional, inclusive feminism just as much today. Highly recommended.

En strålande bok som jag tycker alla ska läsa. Den uppochnervända världen beskriven i 70-talet är i stor sett oförändrad om man vänder metaforen 180 grader. Definitivt en av mina favoritböcker och den bästa jag har läst på jättelänge!
