I'm not a true crime fan, but I was interested in seeing a different side of such a popular topic. From the historical perspective, I thought it was pretty interesting - I'd never heard of any of the women discussed in this book, and with how old some of the information is, it's fascinating to think about the events in comparison to how serial killers are discussed now.

Overall, it was good. Still not a true crime fan though.

I was more into some of these women than others, but I really enjoyed the fact that she didn't focus on the "well known" women and stuck to everyone before 1950.

Easy read; a diverse body of stories; a great reminder of how we minimize and disregard some kinds of terrible behavior because society sets standards (i.e. - 'oh she killed because she was in love' not 'she committed murder which is unacceptable')

This was a really fun (but morbid) read. I loved the history and information contained in this book. I think the author did a phenomenal job. I listened to the audiobook and found it much more enjoyable. A good spooky read!
