meh. it was quite a boring book. v slow. the first 1/3 was just a whole lot of nothing. like straight up nothing. the second third of the book was like mildly interesting nothingness. The last 1/3 was fine. mid at best. nothing about this book was captivating to me and nothing really held my interest. i do think the author is talented as her writing was quite good, but this story is just lackluster. i think it's def more historical fiction or literal fiction than a thriller/horror bc there was v little thrilling or horrific things. the ending was predictable and honestly just boring. this whole book was just :/ I wouldn't personally recommend this book.

the ending was way too rushed/action movie like but the premise of the book is really interesting and I enjoyed it! I really liked the inclusion of social media posts each chapter.

I liked the concept of this book, but the pacing just didn't work for me. I think it would have been more subtle and ominous had it taken place over a stretch of months instead of one week. Everything just felt like it happened too fast.
